Founded in 2000 by Karen Forrester, MBATD of Clive, Iowa, the Iowa Thistledown Highland dancers represent Central Iowa in Highland dance competitions across the Midwest.  Past performances include The Playhouse in Des Moines, Governor Vilsack's inaugural at the State Capitol, Riverfest at the University of Iowa, and the Iowa Arts Festival.
